The Website component of MediaFolio is the core of the product.
Information about the image is extracted from the IPTC information
stored in the images, which is Industry standard today. We have
adapted a few of the fields to include specific details such as
the commission splits.
The concept of sets vastly improves the clients ability to find
the images they are looking for, images are grouped into sets by
the agency, then when a search is carried out, only a chosen front
image of each set is presented. When selected by the client, the
set expands to show the pictures within that set. At this point,
the client can choose to add the image to one of his lightboxes,
a new lightbox, or just request a price for the image.
So when the client does a search, he is not inundated with similar
images, only one from each set.
Another component we have included is the ability to label images
as specific categories, for example Glamour or Fashion, then the
ability to restrict certain users to a limited number of categories,
again this will speed up the users searches less inappropriate images
are presented.
Number of images shown on a page, size of image thumbnail/preview
are predefined as you wish.
Branding throughout the system can be customised, or carried over
from your existing website.
